Keep mangrove change visible.

Mangrove conservation is not a one-time assessment. Forests respond to tides, sediment, freshwater, storms, land-use pressure and restoration choices. Anga Mangrove Watch gives TerraVerge Solutions a way to follow those changes continuously and organise the evidence around the people responsible for protecting and restoring these ecosystems.

The campaign brings satellite indicators, field observations and community knowledge into a shared monitoring practice. It is designed to help conservation teams, researchers, restoration partners and local stewards see what is changing, ask better questions and decide where attention is most needed.

A living record of conservation and restoration.

Monitoring is structured around the questions that matter for stewardship: where mangroves are changing, what the indicators suggest, how restoration sites are progressing and what local experience tells us about the result.

01

Extent

Track where mangrove cover is present, changing or under pressure across monitored landscapes.

02

Condition

Read vegetation, moisture and productivity indicators as signals that help guide closer attention and field interpretation.

03

Restoration progress

Build a repeatable record of restoration sites, observed change, survival and the evidence needed to learn over time.

04

Community evidence

Keep local knowledge, site observations and stewardship priorities alongside satellite-based monitoring.

Technology supports the work; stewardship leads it.

Anga is the technology platform supporting this campaign—not the campaign itself. TerraVerge Solutions leads the monitoring approach, interpretation, field learning and conservation purpose. Anga helps make that work accessible, repeatable and easier to share.

01

Observe

Use Earth observation and field evidence to maintain a current picture of mangrove landscapes.

02

Interpret

Turn indicators into clear signals about change, pressure and where investigation is needed.

03

Act

Support conservation, restoration and management decisions with evidence that can be revisited.

04

Learn

Improve the monitoring approach through repeated observations, community feedback and validation.
